“Yinney” – Chapter 26

maxresdefault “What does your Hebrew Book teach about karma?” Bubba asked. And so it began, fellowship / communion around the discussion of faith, spirit, soul; things of an unseen and eternal nature.

“May we first pray for light?” Yinney asked.

“Light?” Bubba repeated as a question. The other monkeys hanging around looked up at the sky and light bleeding through the trees and scratched their heads.

“Yes, light,” Yinney repeated. “The first words God revealed himself by in the Hebrew scriptures was, ‘Let there be light.’ We seek enlightenment, do we not? God reveals himself as a God who gives light, but we should ask of him.”

The small congregation of monkeys looked at each other and shrugging their shoulders, decided that made sense.

“Oh, that kind of light!” Bubba said with enthusiasm. “Yes! Please do.”

Everyone bowed their heads and Yinney began. A hush fell over the area as he prayed a few simple words, “Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, according to your will as expressed in your very first words to us, ‘Let there be light.’ Amen.”

Everyone opened their eyes. Bubba spoke. “That is very interesting,” he said. “I never gave it much thought, but that ‘is’ God’s first written verbal words according to your ancient texts.”

“Yes… it is. What do you suppose that means?” Yinney asked.

Bubba was not slow to answer, “Correct me if I’m wrong, but as I recall, according to the Hebrews, God was creating everything, so he created the lights.”

“Yes,” Yinney confirmed, “But do you suppose that is the only kind of light God was referring to? Our Father is the God of all lights. Including the light of knowledge; to know and understand. Ignorance is a form of darkness and poverty. Our God wasted no time in revealing himself as the giver of light, not darkness.”

Hhmmm, that is very good. I like that,” Bubba said. “I had not thought of it before, that God might choose his first words in Genesis very carefully, realizing he could reveal himself at that moment in a very significant way.”

“Exactly,” Yinney agreed. “But I like your question about karma, because I have always been amazed how many people in all faiths believe in this spiritual principal. My faith also believes in ’cause and effect’. Do unto others as you would have done to you. In our ancient writings it is spoken of as ‘reaping what you sow’.  It is a spiritual law, much like the physical law of gravity, it automatically works, and is no respecter of persons. It shows no partiality. The rich will fall as quickly as the poor, and the predator as heavily as the leaf-eater.”

“Indeed, indeed,” Bubba said before quoting: “And here they say that a person consists of desires, and as his desire, so is his will; and as his will, so is his deed; and whatever deed he does, that he will reap.”

“Very well said,” Yinney complimented and Bubba smiled. “Good actions equals good karma, the Buddha says, correct?”

“Correct,” Bubba affirmed.

“So if there is good and bad intentions and actions, then does that not suggest there must be some form of right and wrong, moral ethics, personal judgement, a conscience, a sin and righteousness?” After dropping such a large question, Yinney slowly began reaching for his cup again, and the monkey with a watch started the stop-watch to time the action.

“Yes. We agree there is definitely right and wrong. Such as right intention, right speech, and right livelihood.”

“The Eight-Fold Path,” Yinney stated. “I have always loved the way Buddhism describes that path. I must confess, I’m very impressed with what the Buddha was able to discern in a time period before the Covenant of Christ. In a time when even God’s chosen people were living by God-given laws and rules.”

“Yes, the Ten Commandments,” Bubba acknowledged. “But why did God change his mind? Why did he need to replace his first covenant? Did he mess up? Did he make a mistake? Why did he have to make a better way if the first way was from an all-knowing and perfect God?”

The cup had finally reached Yinney’s lips even as three monkeys were now gathered around the monkey with the watch. They intently watched, expecting Yinney to drink, but no, first he made a comment, as the seconds quickly added up. Was Yinney about to set a new record they wondered?

“Ohhh, such a great question, Bubba! I look forward to answering that!” But then he began to sip his juice. Yes, conversation with a sloth required great patience, but as a Buddhist, Bubba had patience and viewed this as a good test of his mastery.

Now the monkeys were getting very excited indeed, as it appeared Yinney was going to set a new record. His previous longest “cup from saucer to lips and back again motion” was coming up fast, and the cup had not left his lips yet! The Howlers could not help themselves as they got so excited and began howling loudly!

Yes indeed a new record was set! The cup finally landed softly on the saucer and the monkey hit the stop button. Such clapping and applause as never was heard erupted in the trees. Yinney did not seem to pay any attention, but Bubba knew what his friends were doing and simply smiled the whole time.

“The simple answer is,” Yinney began, “but oh so deep…” then he paused. Again a hush fell over the ever growing group.

“Yes…” he said again, before continuing, “Let me first say this. Our modern religion seems to have lost its way in the shallow and complex. We complicate everything, but that was not Jesus way, and neither is it mine. We have no desire for the shallow and complex, but we love the simple and deep.” Then he paused again, looking in Bubba’s eyes to see if there was understanding. Bubba was smiling.

“And so…” he continued, “the simple answer to your question, but oh so deep, is…he did not replace his first covenant. He fulfilled it! And from the beginning, he set the first covenant ‘knowing’, and ‘prophesying’, he would be the one to fulfill it, thereby ushering in his ultimate gift to man, just as planned all along. And the enemy of our soul, the most evil predator of all, never saw it coming!”

“Yinney” – Update.

Sloth-Hanging-Out_300x300 I must say Yinney has stolen my heart. Little did I know when I started writing “Yinney the Sloth who needed to Poo”, that I would so enjoy this character and the events that would unfold. This story continues to surprise me on where it is going. Round and round we go, where it lands nobody knows, but this slow-moving sloth is very wise.

A few characters in the story so far, Lu-Lu the macaw, Capy the capybara, Jag the jaguar, Kujo the spider monkey, and Bubba the Buddhist! And that’s just animal characters. Who is the mystery man in the vision who will show up at Yinney’s 7th Day Tree? And what will come of Frank the NYC Cop and his romance with Rachel? Or Jerry and Dorothy? It all has something to say.

Do we live in a world of predator cities? Are the materialistic more happy? Is it possible to live a life of soul? Are we predator or lover in the way we live? The vision said bad things are coming, and a mystery man. I can’t stop writing this story.

It seems my blog has turned into a fictional story with a nonfiction punch. Why not? Go with the flow, right? If it pleases God, it pleases me. I hope you’re enjoying it. I have to believe somebody is, even if only me. If you haven’t given Yinney a chance, it all starts at chapter one, just a little scrolling away!

“Yinney” – Chapter 24

Sloth_large Early the next day Yinney was on the move again. We are all creatures of faith. We live what we believe. If we believe there is no God, we live in that belief. Whatever we believe to be most important becomes a focus, a sun we orbit around in our living.

After many years of studying the Hebrew writings, Yinney had come to believe that the Lord’s Supper was a type of “template” or “pattern” for everything God wanted his Church to be. And what was the Lord’s Supper? A communion. A community with his men. A last communicating of important things. A sharing of food at a table, and having things common. A communion with heavy emphasis on fellowship/family. Even as the original Church in Acts 2 had a heavy emphasis on fellowship, meals, the Lord’s Supper, and home tables. The early Church fit the Lord’s Supper template, but what of today?

This had become important to Yinney, and the vision he received at the bottom of the lagoon only served to strengthen it. His studies of many modern Churches had revealed short-form Communions and lack of true fellowship. One should not be surprised, he told himself, if one short-forms the Lord’s Supper, why not short-form fellowship too? Does not the one suggest the other?

Yinney’s belief about the Lord’s Supper template, had motivated him into much study of what “community/ communion/ communicating, and sharing” is. This had become a strong part of his message and how he represented the Christ to the world. Now he had hopes of connecting with a Howler monkey named, Bubba, who followed Buddhist ways, and taught it to anyone interested.

Yinney believed in fellowship at a table. He knew the power of sharing Christ in this way. Perhaps Bubba would one day see, that as wise as the Buddha had been in his time, a greater way had come in Christ. But it was not Yinney’s burden to convince anyone, but only to share in love and not bring shame upon the Lord’s name by misrepresenting him.

Kujo had given him directions to the rubber trees in which Bubba lived. Yinney had his mission, and was on his way, moving at an astounding speed of 13 feet per minute. After all, no need to speed unless being chased by a predator, then he could manage 15 feet per minute.

It was around high noon when the rubber trees came into view.

16870738239_3fc38703f2_b

Soon he was seeing Howler monkeys everywhere, as they also found him to be a curiosity. Two monkeys quickly approached him, “Why do you move so slow?” they asked.

Was he the first sloth they ever saw, he wondered. “Slow has it’s own beauty,” he answered, “it is my way.”

“Hhhmmm, I see,” the young monkey said while rubbing his chin.

Then second monkey asked, “Can we help you? How will you ever get to where you’re going?”

“”That’s right,” the chin rubbing monkey agreed, “How will you ever?”

“No, that’s alright fellas. I’m here to see Bubba.”

“Bubba? Well why didn’t you say so!” And immediately the monkeys grabbed Yinney with there long arms and started swinging through the air from limb to limb so quickly that he couldn’t even catch his breath to speak! He felt as if everything was spinning! And indeed it was, because the monkeys were flipping upside down and all around so quickly, his eyes could not even focus! All he could think was, “Speed kills…and please help me Jesus!”

In less than a minute the two monkeys plopped him down on a big fat limb, and then came the sound of deep laughter. Before him was a rather large Howler, of the “mantled” variety, the golden mantled to be precise, and he was laughing so hard, had he not been a monkey he would have fallen out of the tree!

“Regaining his composure as best he could, Yinney said, “Bubba, I presume?”

“Indeed, it is I!” the golden mantled Howler affirmed while still laughing, and also said, “It has been a while since I have seen a sloth, and a very long time since I seen one as disheveled as you!” And then slapping his knee he returned to hearty laughter!

“A merry heart does good like a medicine!” Yinney said, and chuckled a little too, but then Bubba instantly stopped, jumped close to him and asked, “Are you a spiritual teacher?

images (18) “The Ezekiel 8 Matrix”

The very powerful and fearful book of Revelation foretells a time in which a form of Babylon and Rome will be alive and well on planet earth again. Both Babylon and Rome are symbols of darkness in the earth, even gross darkness. Second Thessalonians 2 predicts a great “falling away”, an apostasy in the Church “before” the revealing of the antichrist. The seeds of these things are still in the earth. The seeds of Babylon and Rome have slowly grown…and it would seem…the Church is blind to its own guilt in the preserving of these Satanic forces. These seeds within the practices of our own Churches will be the downfall of many, and a great shame for many shepherds. Their sheep will be led to slaughter. Even spiritual slaughters of every kind.

We do not see because of the Matrix we have been seduced into. Indeed, how can we see? Our “leaders” have led us here. Our “experts” have set their approval on it. The past and what Jesus “did” has been hidden from us by the very ones we pay to “teach us”, “reveal to us truth”! Lead us into all Light! Light be?

Revelation reveals a “harlot” riding the back of the beast. And that beast will eventually turn and rend her to pieces! The word “harlot” is a word God uses when his own people are unfaithful. Not a pretty picture, but “is” that which is to come. Are you ready? Do you have an Ezekiel 8 Matrix?

So what “DID” Jesus do? You think you know? What did Jesus deem to be so important that it was among the things he personally taught the Apostle Paul? Which as you know, Jesus had already left the earth at that time and had to make personal appearances to Paul. This Apostle must have been pretty important. And the items Jesus would choose to teach him must have been just the most important points. Why waste time on things he can just as easily learn from Peter, John, or any other Apostle? But no…Paul said Jesus showed him. But it didn’t take long for the Rome Church to begin targeting the very heart of the True Gospel Way, The Lord’s Table!

Now you won’t find “The Lord’s Table” mentioned in Ezekiel 8, but believe me, it’s there, and I intend to show you, if you have a heart to know truth. But I warn you, it may upset your current virtual reality. It did mine, and I’ve been walking a different road ever since.

You have to know something is not right when the Church constantly imitates the world instead of Christ. A complex system instead of simplicity, stage lights, massive debt, an emphasis on money, super talent more than super anointing, promoting of “Temple Building” more than “Table Ministry” (which is what Jesus did), King Theology instead of servant and priest, rampant divorce, pornography, and worldliness in the people, pastors falling every day to various temptations kept hidden until they are caught, this list of imitating the world could go on and on.

The Church runs about a decade or so behind the world, but following slowly like a good servant should. Let the “Mark of the Beast” come. We will scream and throw a fit at first, like a politician does, (for that is what we have become), and then say okay, I love progress! (Not to mention a treasure of pleasures!) All hidden behind closed doors, in secret rooms, just like God showed Ezekiel.

How do we get back to what Jesus did? How do we get back to a true Lord’s Table? How long was the table set for Satan to show up in the Garden of Eden, before he finally did? How long, Adam? Mr. Pastor? Do you love Eve more than God? Are you listening to God, or Eve? Are you maintaining God’s garden?

Furthermore, even if the modern church is guilty of the two most detestable things that God reveals to Ezekiel and puts at the top of his list for judgement, is it not purely a “technical” error? Is it not such a small and innocent compromise as to not be worthy of upsetting the greater good? I say again, if only it were that small. If only it were that innocent! But this “technicality” has permeated, influenced, and pretty much defiled almost everything we do! We’re off-track and on way to major judgement, but we do not even see! We have a King Matrix in our head! We’re doing fine! We’re rich and have need of nothing! But the king is actually naked, and has no clothes! The Spirit of God is calling him out for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear! Laodicea!

“Then the Lord added, “Come, and I will show you even more detestable sins than these! He brought me to the north gate of the Lord’s Temple, and some women were sitting there, weeping for the god Tammuz. Have you seen this?” he asked. “But I will show you even more detestable sins than these!”

“Then he brought me into the inner courtyard of the Lord’s Temple. At the entrance to the sanctuary, between the entry room and the bronze altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs to the sanctuary of the Lord. They were facing east, bowing low to the ground, worshiping the sun!” (Ezek. 8:13-16)

These verses describe the top two offenses God was about to leave “Jerusalem” over and bring a refining fire of judgement. Most of you are probably asking who in the world is Tammuz? What does that have to do with me? And we are certainly not worshiping the sun! And in your Matrix that would seem to be true, but it is so easy to reveal a naked king. Prepare yourself to be shocked! Because if we are practicing in the average Church today, we are very guilty of both these things, whether you be Catholic or Protestant!

How is it we ignored the words of the Apostles, and those who sat under the Apostles, such a Polycarp, and decided that which Jesus went to so much trouble to instruct the Apostle Paul, was not important, and we could change? Create a short-form Lord’s Supper? How do we go directly against what is spoken by the Apostles, and is written in our own Bibles, and think we are pleasing God?

How is it the only two holidays the Church celebrates that are directly connected to Christ, that being Easter and Christmas, the two holidays that some people only go to Church on those two days, are directly connected to Rome and the worship of the Sun god?

How is it these things have caused us to totally change the Lord’s Table, and cease having a Passover Meal which not only God instructed the Jews to do forever, but through the Apostles instructed us to do also!

How is it that a holy supper meant to “show the Lord’s death“, his cross, has shifted ever so slightly to emphasize his resurrection, (Tammuz), when the emphasis is supposed to be on his death, and this mindset matrix affects everything we do in our view of being a Christian! Now we celebrate a resurrection and the Easter bunny shows up, even as women wept for Tammuz because of her love for spring, the unconquerable SUN!

How is it we have very little true Table Ministry, including an accurate Lord’s Supper, but we have slid back into a complicated, techno gadget, Temple Ministry in which people are not family, not discipled, not changed, but still live with their eyes on the kingdom of man, and seek to be kings, not priest? This is what Jesus did? This is what the Apostles did? This is what the early Church was? No! I hate to burst your matrix, but this is what Church became after we took the Constantine fork in the road!

If only we did not let it affect so much of how we live, what we do, and how we think. The mind of Christ? If only the Church was not imitating the world and full of sin. If only, if only, if only,…then Church would still be more like it was then. But what we have today is something else…something different. We have “something” alright, and like I’ve said before, something is better than nothing. I do believe that in spite of everything, people get saved there, but can we do better? Is God going to force us to do better, by sending a refining fire to burn up all the dross, which unfortunately will also be a certain percentage of people, who may think they are saved, but actually are simply lost in the modern Church maze of smoke and mirrors?

A great falling away. I do not advise a plan of simply waiting for the refining fire to come. You need to build your ark now. It will be too late if you wait. The Helmet of Salvation lives in a matrix of truth, preparing the individual in every way. You can do it. God is calling us. We must do it! With God’s direction and help, you can build an ark in our day, just like Noah did in his.

Jesus himself said the last days would be as in the days of Noah. Our expert leaders today will expertly teach Jesus was only referring to life going on as normal, with marriage, business, family, and so forth. But why think so small? This is part of the problem with the matrix of our current Church. WE FAIL TO SEE THE BIG PICTURE!

Do you really think that’s all Jesus meant? You know, Revelation speaks of those fallen angels who are locked away in a pit, being released! Those same angels that were involved in Noah’s days! But did Jesus specifically mention that in his words of revelation that day? No.

There is a big picture to be seen. I want to give you the details about Tammuz, the Lord’s Supper, Rome, Babylon, Jerusalem, the Exiles, Ezekiel, Christmas, Winter Solstice, witchcraft, all of it! It’s more than just two days a year, it has affected everything! WE ARE GUILTY!

Perhaps you don’t want to know. Perhaps you’re not willing to change things. And when the 666 comes, perhaps you won’t see that either, and there is no ark to carry you and your family to safety. If you have read these words and choose to ignore, be aware, there may be blood on your hands. Please warn people. Please give others a chance to judge the words of this message.

One of my last days at my previous Church was what was called an “outreach” to the neighborhood. It took place in the large paved parking lot. All kinds of “fun things” were set up to attract children. It was also fall. Halloween was drawing close, but I don’t remember this as an actual Halloween thing. I can’t remember for sure. But what I do remember as I was pulling my vehicle into the Church property, was speakers blasting Micheal Jackson’s song, “Thriller”, so loud you could not even speak to people. You had to scream to be heard.

This out reach was so worldly in its ways that I did not stay long. I didn’t like screaming, or the method of outreach. I did not fit. So I screamed at a few people. Even a few screams to the Pastor. I’m not sure he even heard me. And then I quietly left. Pretty much unnoticed. This is just one of many tales that could be shared of our modern church. Did people come? Yes. Did some get saved? I hope so. Did they learn what it means to truly follow Jesus? I doubt it. Jesus was about a different way.  He did not imitate the world, or the Church system at that time. This is what we know about what Jesus DID.

The Great Disconnect

20171202_173614 Hi! Grandpa White Feather here with our midweek spiritual food for thought. There use to be a very popular question asked in which when you asked it, the question seemed to magically produce the answer! It really is quite uncanny the way this question really does produce (in most cases) an almost instantaneous answer.

Also, if the person asking the question is thinking correctly, it produces a CORRECT answer! Isn’t that a wonderful thing! But I am troubled by something, because even though the question is very powerful to produce correct answers…there is another question which should be just as powerful and produce the SAME answers…and yet it does not appear to have worked out that way. This is very weird and is cause for serious scrutiny, because herein lies a great mystery we would do well to solve!

The “Popular Question”; the one that became so well known and such a fad that people wore bracelets of “WWJD”, is “What would Jesus do?” If the mind of the person asking the question is of a proper intelligence and Biblical knowledge, this very simple question should produce a very correct answer. And it should be the SAME as the answer produced by my second question! But for some reason these two appear to have produced two very different answers. Hhhhhmmmm. What does this mean?

The second question is almost the same as the first, with only one word changed. For some reason it never became the “popular” question, except with me. When one looks at the two, you would expect them to produce the same answers, but they have not! What is this great mystery, this great disconnect?

The second question is this: “What DID Jesus do?”

I’ve always considered my mind to work in pretty logical ways. Basically, when I think something through, 2+2 should equal 4. So…………..when I ask these two questions, my logical mind assumes that what Jesus “DID” do should be in harmony with what Jesus “WOULD” do! Make sense? (Does to me.)

I never worried about the two ways it could be asked because I ASSUMED the word “WOULD”, projecting forward, would simply agree with and line up with “DID”, looking backward! But much to my surprise, when I look at today’s church, what Jesus WOULD do does not seem to line up with what Jesus DID do! Huh? So is there something wrong with the questions, or the people answering the questions? Here is an example of what I mean.

Jesus came at a time in which the Children of God had slid into a very complicated and demanding religious system in which stone temples were focal points of. But what DID Jesus do? He condemned that system on every level! And he simplified it at every turn! He got in trouble every time he spoke in one of those stone temples! He took their multitude of laws and reduced them down to “TWO”!!! Wow! He said MY yoke is easy and MY burden light. He shifted everything away from “expensive stone temples” to “simple home tables”! And yet today, when asking what WOULD Jesus do, it seems to have produced the very thing he DID NOT DO! We don’t have family, we have a system!

Why would Jesus reproduce the very kind of thing he fought against when setting his living example for us? Why would he reproduce today what he was tearing down yesterday? Why would he change his mind and produce a system that DID not recognize God was doing a new thing, and even went on to crucify him? They did not even recognize God when he showed up! Does this seem logical by any stretch of the imagination? Is this what Jesus WOULD do? To contradict what he DID do? And undo what he did do? What WOULD Jesus do, and what DID Jesus do? Should these two question not produce the same answers? For the One in which there is no shadow of turning? The same yesterday, today, and forever?

Even today I see the church taking the same fork in the road that produced the Catholic church system in which the Protestants rebelled against! But now we do the same? We DO what we UNDID? We’ve hooked up with a Constantine and we’re trying to use political power to force the will of God on heathens? Politics do not change hearts! The work of the church is to change hearts! The swamp will not be drained! Babylon is already rooted in and will come back with a vengeance! Politics is not the answer for the church! Render unto Ceaser what is Ceaser’s and unto God what is God’s! We will not change a single heart through politics, but we do cause the heathens to blaspheme the name of God! Jesus never sought political power! He said his kingdom was not of this kingdom! It drove the apprentice apostles crazy!

It is our duty to vote, and vote in a godly way, to have some idea of what is going on, and I’m sure God calls some of his children to pursue government positions, but God’s kingdom advances by changing hearts, not seeking to force his will upon an unbelieving people! So cast your vote faithfully, but preach Jesus! Not a political party or president! Do not let him influence the voice and will of God for the church, like what happened when we left what our early church fathers established! (But we’re already doing it.)

I hear the Spirit of God saying, Slow down, and hear God. Simplify! My yoke is easy. My burden is light. Come to my TABLE and sup with me. Be more conscious of the Temple I raised in three days, not a stone temple like in Jerusalem! I have not changed! What I DID do is what I STILL do! Do not repeat the history you once condemned! Come out from among them and be separate! Live different! Know my ways of peace, freedom, and Spirit!

No wonder the church of Laodicea made Jesus so sick of his stomach, he threatened to spue them out of his mouth! But he also offered to them:

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Rev. 3:20)

God’s Kingdom is about the Lord’s Table. It’s about a family coming together at a Table and showing the world the LOVE we enjoy in God’s Kingdom. Will Jesus find true faith when he returns? After the Holy Spirit filled the Apostles, they finally understood the difference between an earthly temple, and God’s heavenly Table. The Book of Revelation ends with declaring there will be NO Temple in the new heaven! (Rev. 21:22) But there is a feast of the Bride, and the Presence of God! (It’s just that simple?)

Easter or Passover?

Little did I know that I would be doing something different for Easter this year, such as defending Bishop Polycarp, the early church father of Smyrna.

Even defending the early churches of Asia Minor, against the ways of our modern church. Little did I know.

As a matter of fact, I discover “little have I known” for all these years now. It’s rather disturbing when I think about it. Sixty years of going to church, and Easter Sundays in which we put on our Sunday best and celebrated the resurrection of Christ, along with taking the Communion.

Over these years I have witnessed the slow evolution of Easter Sundays changing from a “dress-up day”, to a more casual day which included an Easter bunny and egg hunt at the end. Such progress we have made, and yet if Polycarp were here, or the Apostle John, they would likely say we have made no progress at all since we digressed, (un-progressed), way back around 300 A.D.!

So this year, much to my surprise, I find myself preparing to do a “Christian Version Passover Meal and Communion” with a handful of people. Have I ever done this before? NO. Do I know what I’m doing? I’ve learned enough to be able to do better than most churches will be doing this Easter. Does that sound conceited? Well… if you studied the historical records as I have the last couple months, you might realize I’m simply doing the best I can, in my own humble effort, to resurrect something the church let die many years ago. Something Polycarp, devoted disciple of Apostle John thought was extremely important. I’m resurrecting the “Welcoming Table” of our Lord. (In my own simple way.)

But I have written a considerable amount about all this in our blog-journey leading to this point, so today’s goal is to simply type in some pieces of early writings, historical records, as evidence I’m not losing my mind or making this stuff up.

And since I’m not the best typer: I only do this because of my great concern. I would not be attempting this unless I felt it so important. I want this blog site to be a source of important information for what God might be doing in the earth today. I don’t expect anyone to take my word for anything. Simply consider the evidence, and search for yourself.

If you want to research these for yourself, it might be possible to google. I bought books. 5000 pages worth of books! (LOL) So I have not tried the google thing. But I’m about to type excerpts of early church father “Irenaeus”, born around 130 A.D., and said he had actually sat under teachings by Polycarp. Another source is “Eusebius”, who put to record much early church history and lived during the time of Constantine.

I hope this will be helpful for your own consideration, but it will only be so if you are serious about what Christ first started as the church. If you think there is no danger in the changes we have made, or it’s too difficult to do anything now, then this won’t be much help to you. So for those who take such things very seriously, I make this effort.

Irenaeus: Fragment 3 (some excerpts) > “And when the blessed Polycarp was sojourning in Rome in the time of Anicetus, although a slight controversy had arisen among them as to certain other points, they were at once well inclined towards each other (with regard to the matter at hand), not willing that any quarrel should arise between them upon this head. For neither could Anicetus persuade Polycarp to forego the observance (Passover) (in his own way), in as much as these things had been always so observed by John the disciple of our Lord, and by other apostles with whom he had been conversant…”

(However, as I wrote in earlier articles, this Passover/Easter controversy would grow more heated as the years went by, and around 300 A.D., after Polycarp is long gone, Rome forces its way on the matter.)

Now here is some excerpts from Eusebius.

Eusebius: History Book 5 – Chapter 23 > A question of no small importance arose at that time. For the parishes of all Asia, as from an older tradition, held that the 14th day of the moon, on which day the Jews were commanded to sacrifice the lamb, should be observed as the feast of the Saviour’s  passover.”

“But it was not the custom of the churches of the rest of the world to end it at this time…”

Synods and assemblies were held on this count…” (The synods voted in disagreement with the Asia churches.)

Chapter 24 > “But the Bishops of Asia, led by Polycrates decided to hold to the old custom handed down to them…”

We observe the exact day; neither adding, nor taking away. For in Asia also great lights have fallen to sleep…” “Among these are Phillip, one of the twelve apostles…” “And moreover, John, who was both a witness and a teacher, who reclined upon the bosom of the Lord,…” “And Polycarp in Smyrna, who was a bishop and martyr…” (a few others are also mentioned.)

“All these observed the 14th day of the passover according to the Gospel, deviating in no respect, but following the rule of faith.”

“And I also, Polycrates,…” “For seven of my relatives were bishops; and I am the eighth. And my relatives always observed the day when the people put away the leaven.”

“I, therefore, brethern, who have lived 65 years in the Lord, and have met with the brethern throughout the world, and have gone through every holy scripture, am not affrighted by terrifying words. For those greater than I have said ‘We ought to obey God rather than man.’

Chapter 25 > “Those in Palestine whom we have recently mentioned, Narcissus and Theophilus, and with them Cassius, bishop of the church of Tyre, and Clarus of the church of Ptolemais, and those who met with them, having stated many things respecting the tradition concerning the passover which had come to them in succession from the apostles,…”

Okay, wow…I hope that’s enough to show evidence of the importance of this observance that was changed by Rome in the day. It’s not only about the day it is observed on, but how it is observed too. If you read in your own Bible, in I Corinthians 11: 17-33, you will note this was a meal! Like Jesus had a meal with his disciples that night. It was a meal, and it was like family. The emphasis was on his death, not his resurrection. We have lost the proper emphasis along with the proper method and the proper “a lot of things” when it comes to all this. Yes… the machinery of our modern church scares me. When we came out of Catholicism, it seems we did not come all the way out, but carried baggage with us.

So at the age of 62, this year, there is going to be red on the doorpost of my house, and we’re going to talk about many things as we share a meal, and unleavened bread. It will start at sundown and end at midnight; and it will not be hard to fill the time. We have a great many things that need to be said…perhaps even resurrected.

One last thing: As I was reading I Corinthians 11, something occurred to me I had not realized before. Paul says in verse 23 that he is passing on what he received of the Lord! Now realize that Jesus was already gone by the time Paul was called to be an Apostle! So… as detailed in II Cor. 12, and Galatians 1: 11-24, Paul “somehow” had personal time with Jesus! And in this time, “evidently”, Jesus thought it important enough to also instruct Paul concerning the Lord’s Supper! And Paul is herein sharing some of those details!

If it is that important, that Jesus made it part of his personal instructions to Apostle Paul, then maybe we should pay this a little more attention, and ask our full-time, paid-staff experts, what’s going on here? Why are we ignorant concerning these things? Are we being sold a blue light special relationship to Christ?

It seems like a photocopy machine. I hate to say it. The church should be better than this. By the power of God we’re not subject to fading. But the more copies that have been made from copy to copy, the more our current copy seems to be a far cry from the original. But we still have God’s Word in which to ferret out the truth if we care enough.

I know this is a lot to think about, but for your own sake, and the sake of the Lord’s church, please do.

“What’s in the Picture?”

20171227_125924

Hhmmm, Part II of “Eternal Bricks”. As I said, I did not plan this picture. So after I invited you to study it, I did the same myself, and was quite surprised!

I did not pay any attention at all to what was in the glass cabinet beside the table whereupon I sat the brick and snapped three pictures. Not until I began to study the pictures, and it was then I noticed the candle sticks lying on their sides, as if removed from their stands! And a glass eagle taking wing! And something over the table, the tip of which you see, but do not know what it is, but I do! This accidental picture is such an amazing message! (If it be true.)

“Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches.” (Revelation 2: 5 – spoken by Jesus himself!)

The book of Revelation plays a big part in the things I will soon be sharing. I have never had such an incredible understanding of that book as I have had since embarking on this new journey. What were the odds that I accidently snapped such a picture as this, which so amazingly lines up with the growing message of this blog site? This picture is smarter than me. I would not have thought of this.

And what hangs over the picture? I am embarrassed to say. It is a relic of my past, that now has all new meaning! It is a Rod Parsley Covenant Partner sword. It has hung on my wall for years, even though I have not listened to him for years, for some odd reason I never was able to figure out. Oh the story that connects me to that sword!

Things are getting a little uncomfortable for me now. It’s one thing to share my experience with a church I do not name, and few people would know of whom I speak. It is not my intention to do harm to the body of Christ, but I must say, this ministry has been perplexing to me. His ministry has been such a major force for good in so many ways in this earth, and yet there are many Gentiles that I fear blaspheme the name of God because of ministries like this, and many more who are much worse, but I’m so sorry to say I have to include this ministry in the lot. This breaks my heart, and reveals how far I’ve come on this path. A path I have been on for some time, and did not even know, hence the reason I lost interest in his preaching, and his books. I didn’t know this picture was going to take me there.

I must admit I am bias here, and I want to avoid hard words, because this ministry was once very precious to me, a long time ago. And I must point out, this is only my “opinion”, being offered up as possible truth, because we are living in such perilous times. The “body” is divided. It is so very divided. But the five wise virgins were not, and they were in unison, even “one” in their answer to the five foolish. This so breaks my heart. I am a “nobody”. Who am I to speak such things?

How much should I share, Lord? What needs to be said, and what does not?

It’s a beautiful “looking” sword, but it has no edge; it’s rather heavy, it’s mostly ornamental, as it was meant to be. Perhaps for safety’s sake. I understand. But this sword with no edge, I did not buy, because our money was too tight at the time. I forget what was being asked for it. My mother bought it and ended up giving it to me. Boy, this sure takes me back. I’ve always had a problem with the way many modern ministries go about getting their money. Money and ministry is a big issue with me.

I’ve been to his church a few times, even a week of Holy Spirit Explosion, back in the day, which came at a critical time in my life. I guess it was right for where I was then, and where this ministry was at that time. But afterwards, eventually, I got tired of all the money gimmicks. I don’t know how else to say it. And his preaching lost interest to me.

Before writing this article I went to his site to see if anything had changed in all these years? If it has, it was not obvious to me. The ministry says God is going to do some special things for the Covenant Partners, and it is somehow connected to the fact that it is the year 2017, a number ending in “7”, which means certain things, so join now. But in my humble opinion, perhaps just a minion, isn’t it actually the number 17? How weird is that?

This saddens my heart. This ministry lit a fire in me many years ago, a fire still burning today, and I made a journey to connect with it because of a spiritual linage going all the way back to a man of God named, Smith Wigglesworth. Now I see another sign, because I still read Smith Wigglesworth, but have not this ministry in a long time. What would Wigglesworth think of this ministry if he were here today? I do not know. But I love reading Wigglesworth still today, and I cannot say the same for the other. That’s all I can bring myself to say in this matter.

There is an awakening happening, and no one said it would be easy, or painless. Who are the churches who’s candle stick shall be removed? I fear we travel this road dangerously, at great peril to our soul, but how can we be anything less than honest? Is not dishonesty also a great threat to the soul? And so I find myself bad-talking a ministry I loved, a preacher I admired, a ministry I still miss? This too, judges me, for better or worse. Others must judge.

Each of us will have to decide for ourself what the Spirit of the Lord is saying in this day and hour. I remember in a very small early morning prayer meeting, with the Pastor of the church of 800, I spoke words I thought very strange to me at the time, and others spoke too, words nothing like mine, and mine were “completely” ignored. I thought it all very strange, and filed it away in the back of my mind.

The words were…“You have to say “no” to the woman! You have to say “no” to Eve.” There were a few more words I don’t exactly remember, but they basically emphasized the same point. I was one of the last to speak that day, and yet it was totally ignored, and likely not even remembered by anyone there, but I remember it clearly. There was something about the speaking of it, and something about the ignoring of it. Time judges all things.

What a strange picture I took today. Is it prophetic like words prayed in an old prayer, once upon a time? Now that Pastor is on leave, and in counseling? Time will tell, I guess. I’m just glad to be out of the Americanized Christian mess, or at least struggling to be so. I’m still working on what all this means, and this blog site is recording my journey. One day at a time, as it unfolds, and I report it as honestly as I know how. We will see where this teepee is going. I certainly did not expect this today. This picture takes me by surprise.

But there is an eagle taking wing also, and in February I hope to be publishing my book, “A Bird Called Flapless”.  Stay tuned for more!
