“Surviving or Thriving!”

2711 Boy do I have the itch to write! Grandpa White Feather has been on the road for almost 2 weeks! I’m finally home, back in my territory! Ready to continue slow growing our spiritual garden. I have missed it, and it suffered while I was gone, but the mission was important. I have 2 grandchildren in Georgia, and Grandpa White Feather needed to see them, not to mention my 2 sons who also live there, along with their lovely wives. We are such a blessed family to have the unity we have.

So…I am the “Story Teller” in our family. I had a story to read to my grandchildren. The story is titled: “A Bird Called, Flapless”.  I am about to release this story over the Internet, and a link will be set from here. It’s what I call a children’s story for adults. Jesus said unless we become as little children we will not see the Kingdom of God.  It’s good for us to paint pictures of simplicity. It’s also a good story for parents to read to their children. About midway there is a section a parent will skip because it’s a bit too deep for children, good for adults, but the story continues for the children a couple chapters later.

2560So we put the story up on their flat screen and Grandpa did the reading. It was great fun. I hope this family has at least one story teller to tell the stories someday, after I’m gone. This important torch must pass to someone.

2616I made those wall hangers. They have our message of slow down and hear God. On the backside I wrote the spiritual name I gave them while down there, which was part of my mission. One Grandson went from “Boy Who Falls on Face” to “Sky Hawk”> He who dives in like a hawk! (Much better name.)

The younger Grandson really didn’t have a name yet, but he is now “Thunder Foot”> He who runs and kicks ball with thunder. (Another good name.) These will do for now, but as they are still developing their lives, who knows what their final name shall be? But I am here to constantly remind them of the “VALUE” of a “GOOD” name.

So we have much updating to do, because the gardens, the flower boxes, and the Teepee have been progressing, but I have not had time to update. The garden area for my mom has gone from this>

20180527_165841 20180527_165854

20180507_184924 But now there is a story to be told and a spiritual analogy to be taught. The journey of this blog site has been a revelation of Jesus shifting everything from the religion of a Temple to the fellowship of the Table, including the Lord’s Supper which took place at a TABLE. Much has been written of this in previous articles.

I’ve been watching a survival series called “ALONE”. If you’re in to that kind of thing, like I am, you should watch it. It’s my favorite. But one thing I’ve noticed, there is “surviving” and there is “thriving”. Some of the people dropped on the island merely survive, but a few actually seem to thrive. A close study of the life of Jesus as revealed in our Bible shows that Jesus barely “survived” in the Temples, but he “thrived” at the Tables. I’m sorry to say, but as we grow nearer to our Lord’s second coming, I fear it may be so again. History always repeats itself?

You may have noticed there is an apple tree providing wonderful shade at the end of this cement block building. We have NEVER had any family fellowship under this tree. NEVER! All my life this has been so. There simply never was a reason to. Trees closer to the house were much more inviting, and there was nothing to see there but a cement block building. However, the other day my wife, Turtle Faith Lady, ROLLED in a very solid TABLE under that tree, and I don’t have a picture of it, but before the day was over, my mom, dad, wife, myself, and my dog, Shadow, was all setting under that tree, enjoying drinks, a cool breeze, shade, conversation, fellowship, the Presence of God, and the developing garden. It was wonderful, and a “first” at the farm. Here are some pictures I do have.

20180526_165729 You might notice Teepee in the background. Stories about the Teepee and the firewood are yet to come. But progress also being made there. Here’s Grandma Turtle Faith beginning to roll her TABLE.

20180527_130355

20180527_130414 Final destination under the apple tree. Oh yeah.

20180527_131407 Such a simple Table. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, it just needs to be real. This Table makes all the difference!

So much has happened and there is so much to write. Next article will be entitled: “Fear and Pleasure”. This is something God showed me while I was in Savanah Georgia. I’m taking leave of our topic of the “Seven Deadly Sins and our Spiritual Armor” for now…temporarily. The shift Jesus made from Temple to Table is SO IMPORTANT.

We need time at the TABLE more than in the TEMPLE. We ARE the temple. Study the church of Acts, the first church, and notice the emphasis on the TABLE. Revelation tells us there will be no temple in heaven, but God is our temple. As they were about to stone Stephen he asked, Who can build God a temple? The earth is his footstool and heaven his home! Jesus offers us to sit at the Table with God! Wow! Is your church about a Temple or a Table? This is our message today, with much more to come.

Our last article: “White Wolf”, I believe carries a very strong message. If you have not read, please check it out. We’re likely done with the Infinity War analogy, even though there is so much more that could be said. There are many people who can identify with the Winter Soldier to White Wolf transition. My path to Christ was peaceful in most ways, but there are many who have not been so lucky. You may be one of those.

So… we are back. The time seeing Grandkids and family was excellent. But it’s also good to be back here where we are building for God the testimony he has put in us. Praise the Lord, God is good. Always keep an eye to your path. Where are you going? I hope you know.

20180518_195449 Grandpa White Feather and Sky Hawk signing off. Where did that belly come from? Hhmmm. I got to work that off.

White Wolf

“The Seven Deadly Sins and a War Path”

Captain-America-Winter-Soldier-Concept-Art

The transition of Winter Soldier into White Wolf is such a picture of salvation from inner torment to inner peace! I love this little sub-story and everything it entails. Bucky was originally a freedom fighter, but after the evil empire managed to so twist his brain, he became a very tormented soul, more deadly than a rattler snake and having no sense of conscience or remorse.

The real horror of this is that Bucky was not really that kind of person. Evil had turned him into something going against everything he ever wanted to be. Even after he begins to realize the truth and make an effort to do right again, the enemy was able to enter back in, and by saying certain code words, force him against his will to still be the rattle snake! How many people do we know, perhaps even ourself, because of an addiction or whatever, the enemy has his back door access to spark the monster in us, and then the battle is on, sometimes we win, and sometimes the monster wins. We hate the thing we do and yet find we have still done it. We do not want to be the monster within, and yet we just can’t seem to forever be rid of it.

To me, these are deadly sins, because they have a hook in us and seem to take over. But there is a White Path of peace in Christ. Just like Nomad took Bucky to Wakanda. In this place they were able to deliver his soul and his mind from the evil programming, to deprogram him into an inner peace you could actually see in his eyes. He was finally free! He was finally Bucky again, except he has also spiritually evolved into something more, and now he is, White Wolf.

As the White Wolf, he finds himself still in a fight. He fights with Nomad, not against him. He fights with Black Widow, whom he had once tried to kill as Winter Soldier. He fights against what may be an unbeatable foe, and yet he fights on the side of good. He has found there is a battle you can fight, and still have inner peace, even satisfaction.

Lets look at the Seven Deadly Sins again, and discuss how they manifest in today’s culture. In the Promise Land of God’s Word, we find there is a fight. The White Path is also a War Path against the enemy of our soul and the souls of our fellow man. Thanos, and his beautiful jewels of power hold deadly attraction for a mortal soul. Here is the list we are working from: Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Slothfulness, Wrath, Pride, and Lust. Which are the ones that most haunt you?

“O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Romans 7:24

And this is the fight we fight, this body of death, not only the mortality of it, but the “curse” of a “fallen” flesh we’re still trapped in. Jesus delivers us from this death and empowers us by his Holy Spirit to overcome. Scripture says the wages of sin is death. This is the salvation Christ has bought for us through his blood, and in this “Blood Covenant” we have entered peace with God. Praise our Lord forever. And then we find it is the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, and working in us towards our complete freedom, complete deliverance from slavery to sin. And in this process we also have the “Church”. In which God has given gifts: Prophets, Pastors, teachers, and so on, to equip us, and strengthen us in our spiritual walk with Christ; but what happens when too much of the snake has gotten into the Church? How does today’s Church compare to what Jesus did?

When Captain America originally rescued Winter Soldier and brought him into a safe place, supposedly. A place involving the “System”. The enemy penetrated the place. It was not safe. Winter Soldier was triggered again. From what we can tell, it was not till Nomad got Winter Soldier to Wakanda, that he was finally able to be helped, and find inner healing. In this analogy of ours, Wakanda becomes the picture of what Church is supposed to be. It is what Jesus did.

As our society becomes more and more ungodly and unbelieving, even as it was in the days of Noah, there is no safe place in our culture. Our culture has become the snake constantly trying to wrap us in its coils. God’s garden must be within us. The Kingdom of God is within us, and it must be strong enough to withstand the onslaught of a world spinning out of control in the pursuit of more and more pleasures. Eve believed the lie. Have we?

What of “Greed”, the first deadly sin in our list? It can truly be said that “money” has become the god of this world. And the love of money includes all the materialism that goes with it in its many many forms. Our country is saturated in a love of money and the pleasures and security it can “seem” to provide. Constant advertising and peer pressure telling us what we need to be happy, and what we can’t live without. Just give us your money, and we’ll hook you up. Yes, they “hook you up”, alright. Like a fish on a line.

Jesus was VERY specific when he said: “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Matt. 6:24)

Notice Jesus said two “masters“. The love of money and materialism desires to “master” us. It is one of those powerful and deadly jewels constantly surrounding us in our current culture. This subject is taboo in America, and I wonder why? Don’t touch my sacred cow! Prosperity is the right of the child of God? To be the head and not the tail?

Well…here again we see the modern church clinging to the Old Testament, when tithing was a law, and it was an “eye for an eye”, and the Armor Bearer was expected to die with King Saul rather than King David, and the Holy Spirit did not indwell them. The O.T. is where we see most of the Prosperity message, but Jesus and the Apostles lived a very different way. Try to deny it all you want, but the evidence is literally overwhelming.

I see people every day, who claim to be Christians, and they are financially prospering, but where is God? Most of them are lucky if they even still give God one day a week. These are deadly sins. They lull us into a sleep while our life is quickly passing by and we’re missing the best things while we serve another master. Never mind eternity, I want mine now.

Too many times expensive possessions does a slave make, and its’ not a slave to God. White Wolf walks a different path now. He has been transformed. He is free from Winter Soldier. The cold of his previous life is over. He has found the fulfillment of simple pleasures. What are the true treasures of life? Is not your soul, your relationships, your peace of mind, your future in heaven, this present moment and what it has to offer? Thanos and his sparkly jewels desire to rob you of all these things, and put you on a treadmill in which God is on the underside. Can you say you really “love” God as you spend all your time making the money?

Here’s a good test: How much time do you spend thinking about God and seeking him, compared to how much time you spend thinking about money in one form or another?

For our analogy, White Wolf and Wakanda has become our picture of finding our white path in Christ. We need a church family, like Bucky found a family that was finally for his good, not to simply “use” him. We are just beginning this series of the deadly sins and “Infinity War” as a parable of sorts. I’d much rather know Bucky as White Wolf, rather than Winter Soldier. And my experience with materialistic Christians have been less than satisfying too. You CANNOT serve God and money. Who’s serving who? Beware the church that seems to be all about the money.

Screen-Shot-2017-11-29-at-15.08.17-c51fe5b

And so Winter Soldier becomes White Wolf, but he finds there is still a fight. In a fallen world, filled with human nature, there will always be a fight in the garden. Much more to come on Infinity War/ Eternal War and the 7 Deadly Sins.

Choosing Your Friends

84a15e06c040846eafae8c90adbed4a5_ft_xl

You have an enemy! In this life of peace in Christ, I find there is a fight. I desire a life of peace, but I find there is a fight. The Children of Israel entered the Promised Land of milk and honey, and they found there was a fight…even giants.

There is a reason “birds of a feather flock together”.  It is impossible for someone of integrity to go along for long, with something they disagree. It will eat at the person of honor until they choose different. The pure heart must walk its own White Path. Birds not of a feather will not flock together for long, unless their feathers change.

My wife and I went on a spiritual quest with God and I came back from the Black Hills with a phrase echoing in my soul: “The Path of the White Feather”. I did not know what it meant, but it led me in becoming Grandpa White Feather to my family, and beginning to do Church a whole different way. The research, the answers, my journey, the reasons, and the prayerful decisions are all recorded in the archives of this site if you care to research. I found most of my answers in the early Church fathers and the Church they began, i.e. Pre-Catholic.

Jesus walked the Red Path (of his own righteous blood), so we could walk the White. Most every true Church teaches this, maybe not in these words, but the same message. And yet I found myself at odds with the modern Church on many different levels, and soon discovered my chosen friends were not as close as I thought they were. Our feathers proved to be different, and I was challenged to find a different flock.

We have an enemy, and how should he be fought?  (Read previous article for understanding the Christian “Vengeance Trail”, spoken of by Apostle Paul.) Who is the enemy? Where has all his tentacles reached? As we continue our “Infinity War / Eternity War” analogy, Captain America discovers the world he knew has changed, and the clothes he so boldly wears, his feathers, he no longer agrees with! What’s he going to do now? This “system” is requiring the heroes to all register with the government, but how is this the “Liberty” he has always fought for? A major fork in the road is before him, but not just Captain America; this fork is before every one of the Avengers and other heroes of the earth.

captain-america-1

I found myself at that very same fork in the road. Modern Church had become a “system” I was no longer comfortable with. It had become a “system”, not a family, not a fellowship. As I headed out into the unknown with God, I knew whatever I did, it had to be a “fellowship”. We don’t call what we do “Church” anymore, even though it fulfills what was original Church better than most Church systems today. I won’t say there are not exceptions to the rule, but let me tell you a “Tale of Two Tables”, and you decide for yourself.

First of all, I learned that in Jesus earthly ministry, one of his major changes was a shifting from the “Temple” to the “Table”. Now for the sake of regular readers, I won’t go through all the details of those previous articles, but think of “The Lord’s Supper”, a “Table”. Oh! We found so much there! Don’t forget how our Lord was constantly in trouble in the “Temples”, but was very popular at the “Tables” of the common people. He had a “Table Ministry” more than Temple.

Jesus spoke of a different temple. He said destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up. He told Zacchaeus to come down out of the tree, cause I’m coming to your house today! He sat at many tables in homes, and other places. The table of Matthew a tax collector, and his friends. The religious system at that time only found fault. The two men on the Road to Emaus. He ended up at their table, and he left them with “bread on the table”.  Even Stephen was preaching against the temple when they stoned him. But in my pursuit of the “table”, I have found there are “two”.

There is the table we might meet with someone like at a coffee shop, and there is the table in that person’s home. Here is a tale of two tables. We must not forsake assembling together, on this point scripture is plain. So as I went out looking for a new flock of birds, I found my wife and a friend named Jason willing to join me. We became a fellowship of 3. We fellowship very regularly and began reaching out to others. Now here is a strange thing. I’ve lived my whole life without being connected to any news events. So how is it, this little group of “3 nobodies”, ends up being led of God to 2 news events in our city? Never happened to me before! Suddenly, not one, but even 2? I am still stunned at this.

For privacy, I am not going to name names, but one news event involved a one year old girl who died when a car drove by a house at night and shot some 40 bullets into the place. I heard the news report and thought “how awful”. Later I got a call from someone informing me I knew the person who lived there, and she was Grandma to the little girl! I had worked with this lady! Talked to her many times, but only a little about God. She said she was a Christian and attended a Church.

Almost in the same week, I get another call. This one from my brother-in-law. Due to a hobby connection, he met a man about to have a complete heart transplant. Of course, this guy was in the hospital and had become a news topic. My brother-in-law began visiting the man on a regular basis. They became friends. The man eventually asked about how do you know if your saved? This guy knew he was not. He had been one bad dude. But he now said he wanted to be, and my brother-in-law led him to the Lord! And then he called me! This guy had just had a new heart transplant “spiritually”, and little did they know, a sudden unexpected tragedy for someone else, and he got a new heart “physically”! Wow! That kind of blows my mind! But why had God chosen my little group of 3 to connect to both these events? These are rare happenings.

I was at the hospital, (we’ll call him the “heart guy”), I was at the hospital when the heart guy succeeded in doing his 6 minute walk he had to do in order to be released. This was a big event for him, and my brother-in-law and I were the only two there.

As time has proceeded, I felt led to reach out to the Grandma of the little girl with a flower box I made myself. I talked to her on phone and we set a date to meet at a coffee shop, set at a “table” and talk.

20180430_113609

But when the day came to meet, she would not answer her phone, and we have yet to meet. We have not come together at a table, even though she needs to. I know she is hurting. There is healing in sharing. This flower box is full of healing, even though it may hurt a little now. It also has a message of “Slow Down, and Hear God.” Is she running from that message, or just the pain of her loss? I do not know. But if God is asking me to help her, then I know we must reach a table. Hopefully, not just a cafe table, but the table in her “home”.

I’m not interested in shallow ministry anymore. There are plenty of Churches that can do that. Our Lord was not about the shallow either. Our fellowship makes an offer, an invitation. The door either opens or not. We pray, we continue offering, but we don’t force, and we don’t respond to the shallow. The box might end up going to someone else, even though it had a different original destination. In the meantime, the flowers have been beautiful.

Now as to the heart guy, he is at home, and we are having regular Bible Study and prayer in his home. I know him better in just a couple of meetings, than I know 99.9% of the people in the Church I left. Including the Pastor. Funny thing on that. I actually helped build a very nice deck and flower patio on that Pastor’s house. But I had never been inside his home. Not long after that, he sold the house with the nice deck he was built, and bought a nicer place. (Wow.) Funny how things happen.

At any rate, Jesus has a “Table Ministry”. There are two tables, and the one in our homes is where we really get to know people. So how many people at your Church do you really know? How many have you sat at their table in their home, and they have sat at yours? The original Church operated in just this very way. I thought I was close to some people at the Church, but now that I have been involved in “Table Ministry”, I realize why I was so easily let go. God is all about “Meaning” with a capitol “M”! God is about “meaningful relationships” and “meaningful purpose” in your life. The lost think life is meaningless, but we know it is not. The soul desires meaning and purpose, even passion! Jesus was and is that kind of God.

A whole new world is opening up to the heart guy. He showed me a picture of the old heart they took out of his body. I took a picture of the picture. Are you ready for this? In this picture, call it a weird coincidence if you choose, but it looks like the face of a demon! No joke!

20180509_173303 That red thing is his old heart, and you see some kind of a heart pump at the bottom of the heart. He showed me a picture of the new heart too, and it was wonderful. Such a difference as night and day. I believe if we could see the spiritual heart transplant, we might see a very similar revelation. Wow.

So this has been my new Church life of walking with Christ seeking true fellowship. The heart guy and I are beginning to really know each other. When he is healthy enough someday, he will visit my place too. My best friend at the old Church has not visited me at my home in a year now. I’ve stopped in on him at least 3 times, but things just aren’t the same. He’s the only one from the Church that we have shared home tables, mostly because we go way back to high school days. We raised our families together before the Church ever came along. Other than that, cafe tables was as close as I got with a few members of that Church, including the Pastor. There is a Tale of Two Tables.

I believe our Lord loved “Table Ministry”. The early Church was built on it and many of the early Church fathers resisted the change, but were eventually overruled. I don’t usually go this long on words, but this is all so important.

In our movie, a few of the heroes eventually switch over to Steve Rogers, who has changed his name to Nomad, a wanderer. Black Widow and Black Panther now fight with Nomad. Evidently they realized Cap had a point. They saw the evil in the “system” for what it was. Thor has been separated from all of it, but I’m pretty sure which side he would land on.

The question becomes what kind of “disciples” are we developing? Are we functioning as Jesus would function in the earth, the way he did function? Are we comfortable in the feathers we are wearing? Of course, if things get bad enough, we will all fight together for the sake of the common cause, the blood of Christ still joins us. We are a family split on what it means to have Church. We are split on how we think the children should be raised. We are split on what our heart hungers for in a spiritual family, and meaningful relationship.

d63f973cdbe3eaa4fc0fca0517dbd1be Wakanda has become a place of fellowship for Nomad, and White Wolf. Wakanda is very different from the rest of the world, and has a very different perspective.

We have not forgotten the subject of “The Seven Deadly Sins”, nor our foundation scriptures of Romans 13: 8-14. There is a White Path of peace for us to walk with Christ, but there is also a fight. The heart guy readily attests to the deadliness of the deadly sins, and he has a very strange picture, be it coincidence or what. It does make you think. This is Grandpa White Feather signing off, exploring this path, until the next time.

Next article: “7 Deadly Sins & War Path!”

In a world that is cursed there is always a fight in the garden.

The 7 Deadly Sins

420px-Gospelofpeace There is so much to say on this subject, I hesitate to enter it, and yet we already have. This is the spiritual rabbit hole we have entered. This is where we have been going this whole time. The subject of evil and perfection, for this is the White Path, the battle we face, the turmoil set within us because we still live in a body of death, and the peril to our soul, and others, is very real.

If nothing else, I can promise this subject will not be boring, it is very relevant, and can speed your progress in the Kingdom immensely. You are under attack. In this life of peace, I find there is a fight. I desire a life of peace, but I find there is a fight. The Children of Israel entered the Promised Land, and they found there was a fight, even with giants!

“O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” (Rom. 7:24)

We know the answer is given in the very next verse, but in this rabbit hole we have plunged, I want to break things down and spend some time considering this world we live in, a reality I have been using “Infinity War” (Eternal War) to illustrate, and would like to continue doing so. The enemy is always working on two fronts, the in your face attack and the deceptive/ camouflaged attack.

So many born-again children of God wondering in the wilderness, not enjoying the Promised Land because they have failed to simply trust God, go forward in faith, and fight your spiritual enemies. Yes, there are giants in the Promised land, it seems. And yes we are grasshoppers compared to them, but they are the grasshoppers in God’s hand. God wants you to believe that. It’s his power, not yours.

In a world that is cursed there is always a fight in the garden. Not only the “mess”, the wilderness, the weeds that have to be cleared away to have a garden to begin with, but also the weeds and wilderness constantly fighting to come back. It never completely goes away. There are standards to maintain around and within our garden. Walls that fortify and build up. In this we have not been left without powerful weapons, for we are a warrior Kingdom. Light verses darkness. Love verses evil. It’s a fight without and within that never goes away.

For the Christian, the warrior’s path is not at all as the world. Not surprised, right? But what is this path? How does it work? What is our Kingdom fighting style?

Realize that our God, in many ways, is a paradox, for he is not bound by physical laws, only spiritual. He lives and reigns in the spiritual, and constantly teaches us to do the same. But are we teachable? The first wilderness generation come out of Egypt, was not.

Here’s a paradox for you. Our warrior path with God begins with brokenness and surrender. How’s that for a battle plan? Break and surrender? Unless a seed fall to the ground and die, it abides alone.  Loving God with all your heart leads to brokenness and surrender, and also a “Vengeance Trail”! (Yes, this will tie to the name of “The Avengers”. The analogy continues. But this is no joke, it is real. As real as this rabbit hole can be.)

Remember, we are in the rabbit hole with God. You’re going to have to hang with me on this one, but the Apostle Paul describes this path of spiritual vengeance. Always remember who our enemy really is. The Bible says we should turn the other cheek when our enemy strikes us, but don’t take that too far, because we are never to turn the other cheek to our true enemy, Satan! (And his principalities.) Our war is with spiritual principalities in heavenly places, not with any human here on earth, and to this enemy we do not give an inch! We are not commanded to love Satan, but to RESIST him! If God put the fight in you, it’s for this purpose!

Oh, there is so much to get into here, but must be explored one thought at a time. Satan will never try to convince you he is your friend. He’s really smarter and more devious than that. What he does is try to convince us that God is our enemy! We are in a lose lose situation. That we have failed God one too many times, and now God has turned on us too. Remember this truth as we continue our warfare journey. When Jesus was born the message was announced, peace and goodwill towards man! Salvation is your peace treaty with God! He is no longer your enemy. (Thank the Lord!)

God has encased us in Christ even better than Tony Stark is encased in Ironman. Our analogy continues. We will be speaking much about the “Armor of Light”, as mentioned in our foundation scriptures of Romans 13:8-14. Six Living Verses to battle the Seven Deadly Sins. But take note, in Ephesians 6: 10-20, the very first piece of armor mentioned is to gird up our loins with truth! And who is our enemy but the master liar? The words to “gird up” means to make yourself ready for a coming dangerous situation! The truth is we do live in a dangerous world, both physically and spiritually.

Oh the word count is adding up much too quickly. Okay, what is this Vengeance Trail? I can’t go into it in great detail, but the scriptures really speak for themselves. Apostle Paul describes a staircase leading to a higher spiritual level. Notice the order of the steps. Where the steps start and where they end! (From a brokenness to a victory!)

“For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge!” (II Cor. 7:11)

Also consider II Cor. 10:6 > “And having in a readiness/ (make yourself ready? Gird up?)/ to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”

There is a Vengeance Trail for the warrior Kingdom of God, a warrior priesthood, but always remember who your striking against, (not your neighbor!), but an enemy not seen or touched by physical things.

Remember this, “perfection” is our Promised Land in Christ. Do not let the enemy scare you out of it. It is what God has promised us, and where he is taking us. How much we experience of that before heaven, is unknown, but until then, our Father, which art in heaven, has encased us in Christ! We have this spiritual armor able to quench every fiery arrow of the enemy, and that starts with the truth of every promise God has made us in his word!

607430ef6ab12cc2bf96410cce6d4dd6

I was given a list once that the “7 Deadly Sins” are these> Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Slothfulness, Wrath, Pride, and last but not least> Lust.

Jesus washed the Disciples feet. We walk in a filthy sin cursed world. This body of death still desires pleasures beyond what is good for us, or anyone around us. Satan assaults us with fleshly desires on a daily basis. God put boots on our feet that say we have “Peace with God”! He is no longer our enemy! But there is one who is, and he likes to paint pretty pictures of addicting pleasures ready to entangle our soul. We have much more to speak on these things. I want to remind us of how valuable our Armor of Light is, because too many are lost in the wilderness, unprotected, chasing a devil’s mirage, desiring false hopes and food that will never satisfy. A Promised Land awaits them, if they will simply believe God and cross that Jordan River, symbolic of a death.

Let us be an avenger of all the wrongs we have done, when we lacked obedience. May your past sins be used as motivation to prove you’re not that person anymore. Not everything that sparkles is a diamond or gold. Thanos is ate up with lust for power. He will pay any price to gain it. This is the enemy. He thinks he knows what’s best. He uses that to justify his evil actions. Let us not make the same mistake. (To be continued.)

What is the White Path?

f1f75ef8738e4213162bf81396e84442

What is the White Path and how is Nomad a “type” of it? You see, the problem with Steve Rogers the fictional character is he is just too honest, honorable, pure of heart, and moral. His way of choosing his path is always based on integrity and justice. He’s always asking himself what is the right thing to do? That can get you in a lot of trouble in today’s world and put you on a hero’s path. (Not an easy mountain to climb.)

Maybe that worked in his previous life, but it didn’t take long for the new Steve Rogers to realize the world had changed while he was asleep. (The 10 Virgins?) Anyone who knew Steve could have predicted a huge fork in the road would quickly arise. Not only that, but they should have been able to see which path he would take. How about you? How about us? How have we done in facing our current culture in complete integrity? And which of the Seven Deadly Sins have been our greatest foes? For this culture constantly attacks the White Path and all those who desire to walk upon it with our Lord. What demons do you fight in the dark of the night? If you’ve had no battles, you better check your salvation.

What is this path Christ calls us to? Granted, it is not the same as our Marvel heroes have faced, but in some ways it is the same, and calls for a hero’s heart to walk upon it. I grew up loving comic books and so I just can’t help relating. Thor has always “sort of” been a picture of a spiritual warrior to me, because of his “Hammer”. God’s Word says, “Is not my Word like a hammer?” (Jer. 23:29) When Thor threw that hammer, I saw a spiritual warrior speaking the Word of God. I saw God’s Word going forth in battle! And now his hammer has gone through an evolution. It has become a hammer and axe! Need I remind what scriptures speak of in the axe? A word to the wise, and at such a time?

In Jeremiah 51:20 God speaks of a “Battleaxe” to be brought against Babylon. Do not take this lightly. Do not assume our modern church has not been caught up in the spirit of Babylon! And in Luke 3:9, John the Baptist preached: “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees; every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

Very strong words concerning God’s axe. Will the original vine be grafted back in? The spirit of Babylon is creeping into our “system” like an evil Loki completely devoid of any heart or conscience. Only the White Path offers safety from his deceptive ways and the Seven Deadly Sins.

In getting back to the subject of the White Path…

Jesus said, “Yet there are some in the church in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes with evil. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.” (WOW.) Rev. 3: 4-5.

Are we guilty of taking the easy way? Would we have joined Nomad? As written in the last article, to be an outcast? A criminal hunted, even as David found himself hunted by the king. Have we chosen to be one of David’s mighty men? Or stayed with the easy path of the king with no clothes? Spiritual warfare is all about us, and it starts with integrity, honor, and a pure heart. Those who cling to a comfort zone simply because they lack integrity and honor will find themselves swirling in a world of the deadly sins. I’d rather be hunted by King Saul!

I take no joy that our modern church has become so much like King Saul. And like David, I have no desire to hurt the Church. God will judge each church. Other forces will take down all those not solid upon the Rock of Jesus, who showed us the servant’s path of self-sacrifice and LOVE. I speak of these things hoping the Church will wake-up, not fall like a King Saul.

Romans 13:8-14 speaks of this LOVE debt we have entered through Christ, but it also speaks of other very important things. It speaks of the Armor of Light, the shedding of our old sinful nature like taking off old clothes, and living a life in the Light for all to see! This set of scriptures is where I have decided to camp for a while. Grandpa White Feather has set his tipi right here in this weird place of using Infinity War/ Eternity War as an analogy of choosing the White Path and the spiritual warfare of the Seven Deadly Sins. Six living scriptures to fight those spiritually cancerous lifestyles.

And what of White Wolf? Nomad saved his friend. Somehow, he took him to a special place, Wakanda, where he hoped they would be able to help him, this place separated from the world, now trying to offer light to the world. In this place Winter Soldier, whose mind had been so brain-washed that he no longer even knew who he was, or who his special friend was, has now found healing and peace. Granted, it is but a “picture”, a carnal parallel to a spiritual truth, but how true and beautiful it is. Bucky has his sanity back. His brain is not full of evil, but he walks a white path with Nomad.

Jesus said if his people did not worship God and sing his praises, then the very rocks of the earth would offer worship to God. Is God using Hollywood in these movies, like the rocks, without them even knowing? All I know is that these movies of super heroes (supernatural?) have spoken to me for years. They have been a source of inspiration, because I have not found an easy path, I have found a path full of honor and passion. The LOVE debt we have entered IS a spiritual WAR. There is more involved than simply LOVING. There is everything that LOVING and God’s WISDOM leads us to. Romans 13:8-14 speaks of all this, and we shall speak more too…soon. In the meantime, Team Nomad or Team Ironman? Which are you? Nomad returned to simplicity and nature. Ironman clings to technology. Nothing is evil in itself, but what we choose to do with it. Do we know the proper balance? Will the common threat force these two heroes to find that balance? This is the White Path.

Captain America or Nomad?

hqdefault (5) Is Marvel Cinema accidentally painting a picture of the Church? Beware, this is a trip down the spiritual rabbit hole. I have for a long long time said the Marvel Hero movies are a good modern day parable of the Church. Over the years I have been amazed at the parallels. This rabbit hole actually started when I wrote the previous article last Sunday, and I said: “Infinity War has begun!” Infinity is another word for “eternity”. So… Eternity War has begun! (there may be a few “small” spoilers in here. A big one at the end, but there is a warning preceding it.)

For the next how many articles we devote to this rabbit hole, we will not be leaving our subject matter of “The Seven Deadly Sins”, or our scripture verses of “Romans 13: 8-14”, which we began to open last article. “Six Living Verses” to fight the “Seven Deadly Sins”. Check them out. This will all relate as the articles build.

But there is much to unravel to understand the insane world down this huge and dark hole, of which most of us have become accustomed to like a frog in boiling water. We have not identified the change that has occurred, like Captain America was slow to see and accept, but once he did, he made some serious change! The man who had devoted his life as a symbol of loyalty to an American “system”, finally realized something had gone wrong with the “system”, and found himself facing a fork in the road. The critical choice of whether to turn a blind-eye and stay in his comfort zone, or continue to be a man of “honor”, and take the high road, the hard path, and everything that would go with it, no matter what others would say or think.

What choice did a man like Steve Rogers have really? But I find many in the Church today who do not realize the system has changed, or…they simply are not willing to leave the comfort zone. Are you aware there has been a change? Do you realize Captain America has gone the route of Nomad? He who was so faithful, having to turn his back on the system he defended with his life. And what does that mean? Do you see how similar Cap’s choice is to anyone who leaves the Church system to be the Nomad?

captain-america

You see, I feel like I’ve faced this same fork in the road, and perhaps that is why it is so obvious to me. I had a life long friend in the Church I left. Things have not been the same between us since. He just doesn’t see it. Or at least he says he doesn’t, but it is so easy to turn a blind eye when you don’t “want” to see something. And when you don’t want to face hard changes. He won’t even read this blog site, not one article, and we’re talking best friend.

Something has changed in our Government pleasing Church. I went all the way back to our early Church fathers to find the answers, but it’s amazing how few of my friends are interested in what I found. I tell them what I have researched but they ask no questions. They are not the least bit interested. Not willing to make the slightest effort. Wow, how disappointing.

As technology continues to enrapture a fresh generation, most of the Church seem to be more interested in Ironman’s path, that of an Armor Bearer, (an amazing coincidence), than the one of NOMAD, for it is a nomad’s path indeed. You become the outcast, the spiritual rebel, the one refusing the cookie-cutter system Church has become. Wow…did I say that? And so a divide, a spiritual civil war is underway. Captain America actually fighting Ironman? And yet we are family.

captain-america-desktop-wallpaper-iron-man-and-civil-war-movie-computer There is a split taking place. A sort of Church civil war. It has been slowly growing for many years now. I see the Church being attacked on two fronts, but the second attack has not yet started. The first front is a popularity with our government, much like in the days of Roman Emperor Constantine. Previous Emperors had attacked the Church blatantly. An in your face attack, no bones about it. Easy to see. But the Church actually excelled in those times. Thanos is an in your face attack, like the Antichrist would be.

However, when Constantine came along, and he and the Church were all buddy buddies. He did untold damage that has lasted centuries, as he was working from the inside. His was not a blatant attack. He probably even thought he was doing good, but he did not understand spiritual things, and he did more damage to the Church than can ever be estimated. Are we not back in bed with our government, as we hang on to our precious tax exemptions? We even have a President now who is considered a friend to the Church. Will Trump prove to be a Constantine?

So we see a Church Civil War of sorts, as the Government pleasing Churches divide from the God pleasing Churches, (GPC verses GPC), (Avengers versing Avengers), and as a result house Churches are springing up left and right. In the movie, I could not believe the parallel of stupidity! When Nomad shows up with help to fight the biggest baddest dude yet, all the government could think of was arrest them! I loved Nomad’s answer, “I’m way past asking permission.” (those days are over.) This is the stupidity of following man-made ways. Nomad realizes the king has no clothes.

So which camp do we fit into? Are we with Ironman where the old Captain America fit into, or have we become the Nomad? I’ve lost friends over this fork in the road, and also picked up some new ones who see the change that has occurred.

There was a very strong teaching that went through the Church at one time, and even now would be considered a sacred cow. I mentioned it earlier. Dare I touch another sacred cow? Thanos told Thor, who came within inches of defeating him, that he should have gone for the head. Jesus crushed the “head” of the devil. I’m learning we can’t be afraid to crush heads in this war.

The teaching of the “Armor Bearer”. I’ll only say a few things. First of all, once again it is an Old Testament teaching. Which puts it in a time in which the average person did not have a personal leading of the Holy Spirit. Once again, the modern Church teaching O.T. stuff? Jesus offers us a higher level. Why live in the lower steps of where the O.T. was taking us?

Secondly, it puts the poor Armor Bearer following a “man”, not the Holy Spirit! Pastors are failing every day in our current spiritual climate! Men make mistakes, and lots of them. Why didn’t Jonathon follow David! He had even told David he was to be the next to sit on the throne of Israel! Jonathon understood all this! And yet chose to follow his prideful, power hungry, greedy, and people-fearing, people-favoring father! (Sounds like the Church today?) And so there goes the poor Armor Bearer to give his life for King Saul instead of King David! What a shame! But that was O.T. times.

Okay, I probably said too much, and probably should have been more nice about it, but Nomad is way past asking permission anymore. The king has no clothes and people are starting to wake up to that. We’ve been sold a “king theology” in the name of the One who lived his life as a servant to all. That boat just don’t float.

Big spoiler warning here. Do not read if you care. But by the end of the movie we are back to the original 6 Avengers. The others who fought in this particular battle have been neutralized, so to speak. But of those 6, only Ironman has chosen the path of loyalty to the system. (I think I’m right on that. Check for yourself.) The remaining 5 would all be with Nomad.

So this article has been a story of choosing the high road no matter what the cost, or the hardships it may bring. In the movie this has especially played out between Ironman, Captain America, and Winter Soldier, who appears to have a new name of “White Wolf”. Healing has come to the Winter Soldier, and so…a new name. It’s a good thing Captain America chose his friend over the system. Cap/Nomad is just that kind of guy.
