Inner Circle

20180929_124343 As we continue looking at the “Personal Formula” I live by, in seeking to maintain a God Balance, lets continue our subject of “Inner Circle”. As we have said, Jesus set the example, having his 70, his 12, and his 3. The Great Commission and also Paul’s admonition to the Corinthians confirm what Jesus set the example for. We are expected to follow Christ as teachers of the Kingdom of God.

“You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others.” (Heb. 5:12a)

Our Formula: God Task + Inner Circle + Prayer + Simplicity = God Balance.

Who are the ones in your life, your priesthood, whom you influence in a way that Jesus DID? In the above picture I have a grandson in there somewhere. This is his first year of playing soccer, or any sports. Am I a fan of soccer? Not really, but I am a fan of my grandson, and he needs to know that. I want him to know that. I want all my kids, my family, to be a part of the Inner Circle I influence towards God.

And think about it… sometimes those we are the closest, are the hardest to be that light to because they know us best! They see us at our worst and best. They know what we really do, our true actions, our consistency, or lack there of. They know our flaws and imperfections. But we should all want to be that spiritual priest to our family. And that means you too , DADS.

Yes…in that rumble tumble of childhood, all those kids trying to kick that ball, I have a grandson, and hopefully he’s not the one being kicked. I have another grandson, whom I have given the name “Sky Hawk”, who also plays soccer, but he lives in Georgia. I’m still naming this grandson. I think “Story Teller” may be his name. He has such an imagination and loves creating stories. It flows out of him. But he must also learn to never be a liar, but a creator of good stories imparting wisdom and joy. There is a big difference between an honorable Story Teller, and a liar. Grandpa White Feather can help him understand such things.

But there is still much more to say on this subject. I’m afraid the Apostle Paul was not giving the Corinthians words of praise when he wrote the letter. He told them what they “OUGHT” to be doing. And he shared his desire to teach them deeper and more powerful things, but he could not! He desired to do so, but could not!

“There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. INSTEAD, you need someone to teach you again the BASIC things about God’s word.”

Wow…how sad. How would you feel if the Apostle Paul, or the Lord himself, said you were spiritually dull and do not listen? Wow. Not a good spiritual report card.

So…are we the teachers we ought to be? Do you see how adding this to the Formula is a very important part, of which Jesus set the example? All I’ve done is tried to analyze “what Jesus actually DID”. And then put those elements into a Formula that helps us follow what Jesus DID. There are many things, of course, that could be added. But it is my hope that these four basic elements produces those other things like a tree bearing fruit. As we try to reduce our Godwalking to the MOST SIMPLE elements, as part of the Formula is simplicity, a life flowing, a yoke not hard, a burden not heavy.

No one can say it better than Jesus, of course. He said it’s all about a life of godly LOVE.  He said that would produce every fruit a Christian should be bearing. No one can be more simple and deep at the same time, as the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Master.

We continue our study of “The Formula”, and much is happening at Teepee in this fall season. More pictures coming soon. Continue meditating on your ministry to YOUR Inner Circle. Rise to the challenge! Add your God Task and Inner Circle together and see what you get? Do you have a godly balance of soaring and not flapping? Until the next time, this is Grandpa White Feather signing off. Continue the “Fight of No Fight”, and be blessed!
